Rakb العربية

The journey starts here.

Umrah with one group and one guide who stays with it from the papers to the flight, to Madinah, to Makkah and home again.

A portfolio concept. Rakb is not a travel agency and cannot book or take payment.

A drawn film: an aircraft at the departure gate at first light, the runway lights running one after another toward the light.

The whole trip, told as one day

Fajr, at dawn

Intention, then the papers

It begins with the intention, then the papers. In a live version of Rakb, a guide would sit with you before travel and put everything into one clear list, so you never ask for the same document in two places.

The agency applies for the visa on your behalf. The decision belongs to the Saudi authorities alone.

What you need before you travel

Choose an item to see why it is on the list.

  • The visa rules at the time set how long it must still be valid. A guide checks it before anything is booked.

  • In the size and background the visa asks for at the time.

  • The list changes from season to season. Check the current one with your doctor and the official health guidance before you travel.

  • Simple steps for a first Umrah: when to enter ihram, what to wear and what to avoid.

Dhuhr, at noon

The flight

One group, one gate, one flight. The guide meets the group at the departure gate and stays with it to the hotel door in Madinah, so nobody looks for their own way through a transit stop.

If the flight time changes, the guide follows it up with the airline and tells the group as early as possible.

Asr, in the afternoon

Madinah first

Four or five nights in Madinah before Makkah, so you reach Makkah rested from the road.

The guide walks with the group to the Prophet’s Mosque, Quba Mosque and the places near them, at a pace that suits families and older travellers.

Maghrib, at sunset

Makkah

On the road from Madinah the group enters ihram at Dhul-Hulayfah, the miqat of Madinah, and performs the Umrah with the guide on arrival.

Isha, at night

Home again

The group comes home together, as it left. The guide handles the departure steps, confirms the flight the day before and says goodbye to each family at the arrivals gate.

The same door you left before fajr, with the lamp lit.

Packages

Three packages. The longer the trip, the smaller the group.

Questions

Can I book or pay here?

No. Rakb is a portfolio concept, not a travel agency. Nothing is sent from this page and no payment is asked for.

Is the visa certain?

No. An agency applies on your behalf; the decision belongs to the Saudi authorities.

How do I check a real Umrah agency’s licence?

Ask for its licence number, then check it yourself with the authorities that license Umrah companies in your country and in Saudi Arabia, on their official websites, not through a link the agency sends you. A licence you cannot check is reason enough to stop.

What should I pack?

Ihram clothes (for men, two plain white unstitched sheets), comfortable shoes for long walks, your medicines with their prescriptions and a small bag for the mosque. A live version would send a full printable list.

When do I enter ihram if I fly?

Ihram is entered at the miqat or before it. Because the group goes to Madinah first, there is no ihram on the plane: you enter it at Dhul-Hulayfah (Abyar Ali), the miqat of Madinah, on the road to Makkah.

If you fly straight to Jeddah from Egypt or the Gulf, the plane passes the miqat, or level with it, before landing, so you put on ihram clothes before or during the flight and make the intention at the miqat. For your own case, ask a qualified scholar.

What does the Umrah involve, in brief?

Ihram and the intention at the miqat, then tawaf around the Kaaba seven times, then two rak’ahs, then sa’i between Safa and Marwah seven times, then shaving or shortening the hair; a woman shortens hers by a fingertip’s length. For the details and rulings, ask a qualified scholar.

Can a woman travel for Umrah without a mahram?

This is a question of fiqh with more than one view, and the visa rules at the time of travel also apply. Ask a qualified scholar you trust about your own case; a travel guide should not rule on it.

Is there something for older travellers?

Yes, in this concept: The Unhurried Trip is built around a slower pace, rest afternoons and less walking. Tell the guide about any needs before travel so they are planned for from the start.
